The Backstory

Jazzy Kettenacker, a St. Louis native and a full-time Editor at BSS Outpost. In and out of her editing suite, she is known for her bold and innovative approach to storytelling, unyielding work ethic, and fiery hot takes on hip-hop, sports, and pop culture. Her passion for filmmaking was ignited at 13 years old (big shoutout to the 1998 film The Mask of Zorro). After graduating from Hollins University with a knack for editing and a film studies degree, she jumped straight into the field.

In her career, Jazzy has cut for major companies, ad agencies, and nationally recognized marketing teams. She notes that some of the largest leaps in developing her style have come from regularly challenging herself with experimental side projects and music videos over the years. Jazzy knows hard work pays off and didn't slow down after landing her "dream job" at Outpost, a globally recognized post house within the equally impressive production legend Bruton Stroube Studios.

Known for her high standard for her own work and her dynamic editing style, Jazzy is powered by a deep commitment to creative, innovative ways to tell stories. She's already hit some of her biggest bucket list projects - including recent work with Harley Davidson and the edgy, gritty live music video for Popular by The Weeknd. Her growing Outpost CV includes collaborations with top brands like The North Face, Disney+, MLS, Purina, Rolling Stone, Under Armour, Pepsi, and FX.

Beyond editing, Jazzy likes to keep up with current trends in film and advertising, continually pushing creative boundaries to redefine cinematic storytelling.
